About Us

We have been traveling for many years searching for unique handcrafted decor as part of our parent business Chaiya Home and Garden Decor. The creative spirit of the many artists we have encountered in those travels is what inspired our own creative journey, bringing our customers Tin Whimsy.

Drawing inspiration from the rich and vibrant cultures of Latin America and Asia, Tin Whimsy is dedicated to creating garden decor that is both beautiful and functional. Our products, especially our whimsical mosquito coil holders, are designed to enhance your outdoor space while serving practical purposes. These holders provide a safe place for burning mosquito coils, preventing the accumulation of unsightly ash, and reducing the risk of burns to children, pets, or furniture.  Many of our other designs double as outdoor tea light holders, adding both light and charm to your garden.

Quality is a cornerstone of Tin Whimsy. All our metal art is coated with an automotive finish to ensure durability in outdoor environments. Our designs, inspired by the beautiful art we have encountered during our travels, bring a touch of the exotic to your garden. The colourful and tropical-inspired decor can transform any outdoor space into an exotic oasis.

Our mosquito coil holders have been our best-selling product for a decade. The first design, a whimsical turtle, remains our most popular item. We continuously introduce new versions to keep our offerings fresh and exciting. At Tin Whimsy, the possibilities for new designs are endless, limited only by our creativity.  Feedback has been invaluable to us over the past 10 years, helping us to refine our designs and create pieces that truly resonate with our customers.

Our home base in Merrickville, Ontario, Canada, is a testament to our appeal, with our designs adorning many public spaces throughout the village. It’s a rewarding experience to see our work appreciated and displayed in such a charming community. We encourage our customers to choose decor items that can be enjoyed both outdoors in the warmer months and indoors during the winter, allowing them to appreciate the whimsical beauty of Tin Whimsy year-round.
